Woman Gets The Taste Of Her Own Medicine When She Falsely Accused 15 Men Of Rape

Jemma Beale, 27 years old from Hounslow, West London has just learned that she cannot lie her way out of the courts in England. Here, they do not have pity for liars like her. You see, back in 2017, this woman accused six men of raping her and four others of sexually assaulting her. In addition, she made two false accusations of rape against other men too.

Then things had quite a huge turn when in 2017, she was convicted and sentenced to 10 years behind bars. Last year, she was found guilty of four counts of perjury and four counts of perverting justice. She was then handed down a 10-year sentence in prison.

For nearly two years, from 2010 to 2012, she made multiple reports to police claiming that men had raped her. Among those was Mahad Cassim. According to Beale, Cassim raped her at knifepoint outside her home. He was sent to prison for seven years and she has also ruined many lives because of her lies.

In a victim impact statement, Cassim told the court that Beale’s false claims had had a huge impact on his life. He said: “One of my goals is to be a successful businessman, to have a nice family and be happy. I am working on the happiness – I have a long way to go.”

After his legal team and the Crown Prosecution Service raised major doubts about Beale’s charges, the Court of Appeal overturned his conviction in 2015.

Beale had a taste of her own medicine because the courts in England do not have pity for liars. Sentencing her, the judge, Nicholas Loraine-Smith, said: “This trial has revealed, what was then not obvious, that you are a very, very convincing liar and you enjoy being seen as a victim. The prosecution described your life as a ‘construct of bogus victimhood’.”

Madeleine Wolfe, prosecuting, told the court that the police spent 6,400 hours investigating Beale’s claims and the cost was at least £250,000. In addition, the trial cost at least £109,000.

According to reports, Beale’s first victim was a man she met at Heathrow Airport in January 2012. She invited him back to her flat and when he fell asleep, she stabbed him in the lower back with a knife and raped him.

During the trial, prosecutor John Price QC said that the complainant was confused as to what had happened. She knew that something sexual had happened but felt confused by what she thought had really happened. Then five days later the police tracked down Beale and arrested her for grievous bodily harm and rape.

Prosecutors also revealed that Beale’s lies were so convincing that even her own family stood by her. They even provided character statements to support their daughter when she went on trial. She even went as far as having a medical examination that showed injuries consistent with being raped. Those were proven to be false also too.

Lawrence Henderson, defending, said that Beale maintains her innocence and was even considering an appeal against the sentence. He said, “Ms Beale stands by the claims she made in this matter and if she had her time again she would again plead not guilty to these matters and contest the trial.”

And in a 2019 update, her bid was rejected by three judges at the Court of Appeal.
