Prince William and Prince Harry Allegedly Argued Over Meghan Markle’s Bullying Claims

Everyone knows that the relationship between Royalty brothers Prince William and Prince Harry has been on the rocks for the past years. And one of the things that they allegedly had been arguing about was over Meghan Markle, specifically about her bullying claims. This is according to historian Robert Lacey.

In his book “Battle of Brothers: The Inside Story of a Family in Tumult,” he recently updated the manuscript and added a few chapters with the new information.

Lacey stated that ever since Prince William never approved of how quickly Prince Harry’s relationship with Meghan Markle developed. If you are following their love stories, you know that Prince William and his wife Kate Middleton had been through many years of courtship before settling down.

Lacey wrote: “William worried that his brother was moving too fast in his courtship – and he did not shrink from saying as much when Harry started talking about getting hitched to Meghan quite soon.”

Lacey further explained that despite their differences, the two brothers seemed to have patched up and had been on good terms again leading up to the wedding of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle. However, after Meghan officially became part of the royal family, the tension between these two started again.

Meghan and Harry got married in May of 2018. Then in October 2018, some members of the royal staff told Prince William that Meghan had been mean to them. He took these comments seriously and talked to his brother on the phone.

And as you could imagine, the conversation went wrong in every way…

Lacey further shared that the phone call turned into a “fierce and bitter” argument. He wrote:

“When Harry flared up in furious defense of his wife, the elder brother persisted. Harry shut off his phone angrily, so William went to speak to him personally. The prince was horrified by what he had just been told about Meghan’s alleged behavior, and he wanted to hear what Harry had to say. The showdown between the brothers was fierce and bitter.”

Then after this argument, Prince William allegedly no longer wanted his brother to share his office or home. In fact, a friend told Lacey that “William threw Harry out.”

As it turned out, William wasn’t the only one who didn’t like Meghan Markle according to Lacey. Kate Middleton was also “wary” of the new Duchess. Prince William reportedly had suspicions that Meghan had an “agenda.”

Lacey explained: “Both brothers have been damaged by their upbringings; both have reacted by finding different solutions. There is so much pain and trauma in this story, going right back to the beginning.”

The next time that Prince William and Prince Harry got reunited was on July 1, 2021, when they came together to reveal a new statue in honor of their late mother, Princess Diana. She would have been 60 years old on that day.

And just recently, shortly after the announcement of the death of their grandmother Queen Elizabeth II, Prince William, Prince Harry, Kate Middleton, and Meghan Markle were photographed together outside the late Queens’ former Windsor Castle residence. The quartet seemed to have taken their differences aside as they looked at floral tributes together.

Everyone is hoping that this is going to be the start of their reconciliation…
