A lady from Chatsworth, who just got married on the first day of the new year, sadly passed away in a car crash.
Jamie Widrig, who was 45 years old, was riding in a special kind of car called a utility terrain vehicle when it crashed into a tree and flipped over. This happened on a road called Buttersworths Bogs Road very early in the morning on January 14. The police in New Jersey said this.
The person driving the vehicle and two other people who were riding in it got hurt very badly.
There’s a page on a website called GoFundMe that tells us the lady who just got married was Jamie Widrig Stillwill. The page has pictures of her wedding on January 1 with a man named Tim Stillwill.
Tim and Jamie got married in a forest. They both wore comfy hoodies and had a simple wedding ceremony.
Missy Foster, the person who made the GoFundMe page, said, “Jamie and Tim really loved being in the forest. They enjoyed riding there a lot.”
Missy also said that Tim and Jamie were perfect together and they had been together for nine years before they got married.
Missy explained that Jamie Stillwill and the others who got hurt were riding the utility terrain vehicle on a dirt road in the forest. They were going to a house when the crash happened.
Tim Stillwill had already reached the house. When he noticed they were taking too long, he rode his own utility terrain vehicle to find out why. That’s when he found the crash.
Jamie Stillwill, who was a mom, worked in the Air Force for over 20 years and had just decided to serve for two more years. In 2021, she made a video on TikTok to celebrate her 21st year in the Air Force. The video showed her in a big plane and on a runway. It had special hashtags like #C17loadmaster and #flygirl.
There’s also news about a busy highway called Route 70. They are going to close parts of it for a long time, and they’re starting now.
Missy Foster said lots of good things about Jamie. She said Jamie loved animals and always helped people who needed it.
The GoFundMe page is to help pay for the funeral and other things. By Tuesday afternoon, it had already collected over $16,000.
Missy and her husband, Bob, run a place called Eastbound Auto & Customs in Southampton. Tim Stillwill works there too, he’s a partner and the manager.
The company’s Facebook page shared a message saying how amazing the support has been. It shows how much Tim and Jamie meant to so many people.
