Mom whose car keeps getting stolen leaves ‘hilarious’ note for thief in glovebox

Picture this: You wake up and your car is gone – and it’s not the first time!

In Portland, Oregon, a woman lived this story for real.

But she didn’t just get upset. She came up with a super clever idea that made a lot of people on the internet laugh, and it helped her with her car problem too.

Her name is “mfiasco,” and she owned a 1995 Honda Civic that thieves just couldn’t stay away from. It was like her car had a special sign inviting them in!

She told Tech Insider that she never left anything valuable in her car. If it wasn’t taken by the police, she would just be annoyed for a bit and then move on. She knew her car was a target for thieves.

But she didn’t want to just give up. Since locking the car didn’t stop the thieves, she had to think of something new to avoid paying lots of money when her car was towed away.

So, she put a funny note in her glovebox for the thieves. It wasn’t a normal note; it was like a guide for them, telling them what to do and not to do.

The note basically said, “Hi, you’re stealing my car. I’m nice and would’ve given you a ride, but you chose to steal instead. My car gets stolen a lot because I can’t afford a better one. Please don’t get into trouble with it and don’t leave it where it can get towed. I’m tired of getting it out of the tow lot.”

She even asked them to leave her car in a place where it wouldn’t cause her more problems, and put a note somewhere visible so she could find her car again without having to involve the police or pay for a tow truck.

And guess what? Her idea worked! The last time her car was stolen, the thieves left it in front of someone’s house after reading her note. She got her car back without any extra hassle.

Thinking creatively, like putting a note in the glovebox, really helped her out!
