In a heartwarming incident in Southern California, a man returned home from work to discover a dog tied to his gate. The dog, a little pup, appeared relieved and wagged her tail as the man approached her. Accompanying her was a bag containing her belongings and a note that read, “Free dog, needs a good home.” Although the man had no knowledge of the dog’s origin or how long she had been there, he recognized that she needed assistance.

Interestingly, the man wasn’t the only one surprised by the dog’s presence. Another dog from the residence was lying next to her on the inside of the fence, seemingly perplexed by her arrival. This unusual scene was described by Suzette Hall, the founder of Logan’s Legacy dog rescue, who shared the incident.

Underneath the note, the man discovered a bag overflowing with the pup’s favorite toys and a Ziploc bag of food. The little dog even had a harness left on her. Realizing that the dog required help, the man unclipped her and shared her story online. Eventually, Suzette Hall came across the post and promptly agreed to take in the dog.

When Hall’s rescue partners arrived to collect the dog, they were greeted by her warm and grateful disposition. According to Hall, the pup was filled with excitement and happily melted into their arms. The dog, named Halo later, was offered fresh water and settled into a crate. Soon, she was on her way to Camino Pet Hospital.

Upon examination at the hospital, it was determined that Halo was just a puppy, not even a year old. The staff scanned her thoroughly and discovered that she was in good health and completely free of fleas. Hall regarded Halo’s cleanliness as a sign that her previous family had taken care of her to some extent. The reason behind why they abandoned her tied to a stranger’s fence remained unknown, but Hall was determined to find Halo the loving family she deserved.

Currently, Halo is in foster care and has yet to find her forever home. However, Hall is confident that the perfect match for Halo will come along soon. Describing Halo as a loving and affectionate dog, Hall eagerly awaits the day when Halo will finally have a place to call her own.
