These Conjoined Twins Made Headlines When They Were Born. Wait Until You See Them Now After Surgery

The world has never been short of sensational occurrences. Day by day, we see things that marvel us in more ways than we can imagine. One of those sensations that have managed to be incredibly mysterious is the matter of conjoined twins.

If one thing is general knowledge, it is how extremely rare it is to find identical twins. What usually happens is that they do not fully split when their zygote becomes two embryos, it is even more rare to find conjoined twins.

It is an extremely rare phenomenon whereby identical twins are joined in the utero. It is so rare that between every 49,000 to 189,000 births recorded around the world. For instance these conjoined twin baby girls, in Philadelphia, the unbelievable predicament is not going to impair lives at all.

The two beautiful girls that were born then, Erin and Abby Delaney, were born in the warm summer times in 2016, joined together at the tops of their heads, and this totally made the separation complicated and a really difficult thing.

Analyzing these two, it was totally obvious that to keep them conjoined in that manner was really not an option for them at all for their development, growth and also for their mental health too as they grow up.

The children’s hospital of Philadelphia embarked on the assignment to separate the heads of the twins, it was seen as the most complicated procedure the hospital had ever carried.

For the surgery to take place, it took a surgical team composed of the same type of specialist doctors for each of the girls. After hours of fast-paced procedures to stop either of the girls from bleeding to their death or to cause further complications.

With ease, love, care and incredible skills of the surgeons, both girls were separated and the bleedings stopped either of them from their death or further complications.
Their mother, Heather Delaney, said:

“They are such happy, content little girls, for what they’ve gone through …They’ve never lived outside of hospital walls.”

Now that all changed for the better days, five months down the line and after the surgery was done and the pair will go home, they would be able to grow physically and mentally and they would flourish in each others space, the mother commented on how absolutely well they were both growing and developing.

“They are not afraid of people …it’s amazing to see how brave they’ve been through all of it.”

For most of the first few months after their birth, it was not possible to hold them separately, they could not learn to roll over even, let alone sit up and for their own safety, they were strictly monitored from time to time.

Erin is able to sit up on her own and Abby has finally learned to roll over too, it was after a really long path to where they currently are now but they followed it to completion and after all times, they have finally arrived safely.

These amazing girls have been given a second chance to enjoy life, to have an awesome beginning and we really hope they can continue to grow and to be great and to grow into young ladies.
