On a Valentine’s Day he’ll always remember, a man from Massachusetts won $1 million from a lottery ticket his mom gave him in a card.
Matthew Broadley from Tyngsboro got the card and two “Jumbo Cash” scratch tickets worth up to $4 million each from his mom on the day before Valentine’s.
In the picture, we see Matthew Broadley from Tyngsboro holding his winning scratch ticket of $1 million from the Massachusetts Lottery.
He found the big win on the second ticket.
“Thanks, mom!” Broadley said with a big smile when he went to the lottery office in Dorchester on Valentine’s Day to collect his prize.
Broadley chose to take his prize all at once, which gave him $650,000 before taxes were taken out.
The winning ticket came from Lakeview General Store in Tyngsboro. For selling the winning ticket, the store will get a $10,000 bonus.
