Famous country singer Toby Keith passed away on Monday when he was 62 years old. He had been bravely fighting stomach cancer.

Last night, on February 5th, Toby Keith peacefully left us while his family was by his side. His family shared a message asking everyone to be considerate of their privacy during this hard time. This message was shared on Toby Keith’s website and also on places online where people talk about him.

Elaine Schock, who started working with Toby Keith as his publicist in 2003, told the news about his passing to CNN.

Toby Keith’s family, including his wife Tricia, his kids Shelley, Krystal, and Stelen, and his mom and two brothers and sisters, will miss him a lot. His publicist shared this with CNN too.

In 2022, Toby Keith shared with everyone that he had stomach cancer.

In September 2023, he went on stage at the People’s Choice Country Awards and was honored with the Country Icon Award.

A long time ago, in 2002, Toby Keith was getting ready for a big music show called “The 29th Annual American Music Awards” in Los Angeles. A photographer named Kevin Winter took a picture of him during his rehearsal.

In 2021, President Donald Trump gave Toby Keith a very special award called the National Medal of Arts. This award is the biggest honor that artists can receive from the United States government.
