Princess Kate Hospitalized

Princess Kate Hospitalized

Kate Middleton is getting better after having an operation.

The palace where she lives, called Kensington Palace, shared on Wednesday that Kate, the Princess of Wales, who just had her 42nd birthday, had an important operation in her tummy at The London Clinic the day before.

They said the operation went well and she might need to stay in the hospital for about 10 to 14 days. After that, she will go home to get even better. She probably won’t start doing her royal jobs again until after Easter.

Kate hopes people will understand why she wants to keep things as normal as possible for her kids and keep her health information private. The palace will only share news about how she’s doing if something big happens.

They also said Kate is sorry she has to move her plans around and hopes to start doing her royal activities again soon.

People know that the health problem she had was not cancer.

Kate and Prince William, who is also called the Prince of Wales, went to a special church service in Wales last September to remember Queen Elizabeth II, one year after she passed away.

After leaving the hospital, Kate will rest at her home in Windsor. She and Prince William moved there from London in 2022.

Prince William will also take a break from his royal jobs to help Kate get better and to take care of their three kids, Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis. He won’t do any official work while Kate is in the hospital or when she first gets back home.

Kate was last seen in public on Christmas when she went to church with her family. She walked with Prince William and their kids to the Church of St. Mary Magdalene in Norfolk.

Prince William did his first royal job of the new year last week. He went to a stadium in Leeds to join two friends, Rob Burrow and Kevin Sinfield. They are working hard to help people with a disease called Motor Neurone Disease because Rob was found to have it in December 2019.
