Hospital propped dead woman up in bed to fool family into thinking she was alive

A lawsuit alleges a disturbing scenario following the death of Sheila Sue Trimble, a 65-year-old Ohio woman, during a standard heart catheterization procedure carried out by a contentious doctor at Adena Health in Chillicothe on August 18. Despite being in ‘good health’ prior to the operation, as claimed by her family, Sheila Sue Trimble did not survive the procedure.

It’s further alleged in the lawsuit that in a bizarre attempt to mislead her family into thinking she had endured the operation, her body was manipulated to appear as though she were still alive. The family also contends that they were misguided into turning off Trimble’s life support, notwithstanding the hospital staff’s awareness of her passing.

According to the lawsuit, documents reviewed by the local Scioto Valley Guardian disclose that Trimble’s death occurred at 1pm, although her death certificate registers her time of death at 3:05pm—the exact moment her family was escorted into her room.

Multiple Facebook posts indicate that Dr. Jarrod Betz, Trimble’s cardiologist, admitted to causing an arterial cut during the surgery. The doctor, previously scrutinized for alleged lack of proper credentialing for executing intricate heart-related procedures, is now at the center of this grave accusation.

An individual identified as Vickie Clark, seemingly a relative, expressed fervent condemnation toward Adena Health’s management, holding Dr. Betz responsible for Trimble’s demise due to an aortal cut, as shared on a social media platform.

When approached by DailyMail.com, a spokesperson for Adena Health denied awareness of any malpractice and labelled the accusations as ‘patently false.’
