Selfless Mom Shields Her Baby From Attack By Mother Nature Using Her Own Body

Weather can be wild and unpredictable at times. You might have probably experienced extreme weather changes in the past. One moment everything is cool and calm, and the next moment the wind is howling hard and throw everything it has at you.

Fiona Simpson a young mother experienced Nature’s fury in the recently as she was driving with her baby and her grandmother in the car. all of a sudden the weather changed and Fiona found herself and her family right in the middle of a supercell tornado, one of nature’s deadliest weapons.

A tornado is not something you want to be caught in whether you are in a car or out of it. but Fiona was in this already and about to feel the fury of several knots of wind and giant hails crashing at her with a mighty force.

The hails were the size of Tennis balls and came crashing at Fiona’s car with such a terrible force that the windows of the car were shattered immediately. but despite the fact that Fiona had found herself in a terrible situation, she is still being hailed online by millions of people for how she handled the situation.

Seeing the severity of the situation, she quickly pulled her car out of the road and parked at the side. Then the quick thinking mother did something that is earning her the praise of everyone who has heard her story. Fiona quickly shielded her daughter with her body as the hail pounded their car. chunks of rock-solid ice rained down and pelted at her back furiously, despite the pain, the mother never stopped shielding her daughter and took most of the hit from the hails.

Narrating the event on her Facebook page, here is what the brave mother wrote:

I’ve learned my lesson today, never drive in a hailstorm! We parked on the side of the road when the storm got too heavy and the hail blew out our windows. I covered my infant with my body to stop her from being badly injured” she wrote.

Finally, the storm calmed down and rescue workers arrived and took the three of them down to the hospital. Luckily they didn’t suffer any serious life-threatening injuries and they were treated for their minor wound, with Fiona bearing the most wound of course. She was able to protect her little girl by her decision to shield her with her own body. The storm also left huge dents in the body of the automobile.

You can imagine how hard and how painful it must have been for her. She shared a picture of her wounds along with her post and even asked if anyone knew of any ointment that might help with the bruises. Even if her wounds leave scars she can proudly bear it as proof of a mother’s love for her child. But hopefully, it won’t.

Also, learning from her experience, Fiona also used the opportunity to send a plea to people on the need to be careful during storm season and avoid driving while a storm is one. That is the most important lesson and as she wrote, she has learned it. thankfully Fiona and her daughter and granddaughter were fine at the end of the day. Storms are indeed dangerous and things could have been worse.
