“1,000-Pound Couple” Begins an Amazing Weight Loss Journey Together

Losing weight is never an easy journey. You will need the help and support of your loved ones. That is why if you are trying to lose weight with a partner, the process becomes easier. That’s exactly what this couple did in the summer of 2020.

Couple Zach and Cassidy together have a weight of close to one thousand pounds. They are happy with their lives but they were also both aware from the beginning that they needed to lose weight. And like others, they also found it difficult to find the motivation and inspiration to get started.

One thing made them realize they needed to change…

Zach and Cassidy were going to someone’s house to pick up an air conditioner they had bought on Facebook Marketplace. Zach hurt his back really badly and had to go to the hospital because of it. The hospital staff also tried to do MRIs and other tests on him, but some of the machines wouldn’t work on him because of his size.

At that moment, they realized that they had to make a big change…

Both of them have struggled with their weight their whole lives. Cassidy’s family history included being overweight and having metabolic diseases like diabetes, so she was genetically predisposed to be overweight. Diabetes is an example of a disorder in the way the body works. Even when she was a child, she was always overweight.

Both of them had attempted to reduce their weight in the past, but ultimately they chose to focus their efforts on being more physically active. And despite the fact that exercise is an essential part of the weight loss process, it wasn’t enough to move the needle. Because of this, they started to pay a lot of attention to the food they eat and the nutrition they are getting.

They started making all of their meals ahead of time, which made it easier for them to stick to their plan and helped them start losing weight in a healthy way. In the beginning, it was hard for Zach to adjust to the new changes. This is the first time in their lives that they’ve learned that eating well is just as important as working out if they want to lose weight in a healthier way possible.

Zach said, “I thought that it would be like a 60% exercise thing, 40% diet. In my opinion, I think it’s probably more like 80% what you eat and how you eat it and 20% exercise.” He adds, “You have to want it for you.”

Zach and Cassidy had to make sure that they also had to stick to their diets, which was one of the hardest things they had to do. But once they saw how well it worked, it was easy to change the way they thought about food and stick to this new way of living that made them feel good and accomplished.

Due to the changes that they have made to their lifestyle, they felt like they had more control over their bodies and they are achieving more success with their fitness goals.

Since July 2020, Zach and Cassidy have lost over 500 pounds together, and they truly look amazing. As long as they continue with their healthy lifestyle, there is no doubt that they will succeed.
